Miami (4-2) at Baltimore (3-4), 8:25 p.m. on CBS and NFL Network. Week eight opens in Baltimore as the Ravens return to Charm City for a Thursday night meeting with the Miami Dolphins, with the Dolphins making the 1,102-mile trip up I-95.

Miami rallied from behind in the Sunshine State to come away 31-28 winners over the New York Jets at Hard Rock Stadium. Miami trailed 21-14 at the half before the ‘Fins took control of things and came away winners with 22 seconds left when Chris Parkey connected on a 39-yard field goal. Miami outscored the Jets 17-7 in the final 30 minutes of play, scoring those 17 points in the fourth quarter unchallenged. The Jets outrushed Miami 92-53 and Matt Moore took over for Jay Cutler (ribs), throwing for 188 yards and a pair of TDs (Cutler threw for 138 yards and two TDs before the injury). The Jets’ Josh McCown threw for 209 yards and three TDs but was sacked three times in the loss. Miami went 4 of 11 on third down, holding the ball for 31:58, while the Jets were 4 of 11 on third down, keeping the pigskin for 28:02.

The Ravens limp back to Charm City after their 24-16 loss at Minnesota last Sunday at US Bank Stadium. Baltimore trailed 9-6 at the intermission in the Land of 10,000 Lakes before the Vikings pulled away in the final minutes to take the win. Minnesota outrushed the Ravens 169-64 (with Minnesota’s Latavius Murray leading all rushers with 113 yards and a TD), while Case Keenum, taking over for Sam Bradford (knee), threw for 188 yards. As for the Ravens, Baltimore’s Joe Flacco threw for 186 yards (five sacks) and a TD pass to Chris Moore as time expired. Baltimore went 6 of 16 on third down (1 of 1 on fourth down) and kept the ball for 27:59, while Minnesota kept the ball for 32:01, going 7 of 15 on third down conversions.

The series is tied at 6-6 and the Ravens have outscored Miami 236-203. Baltimore won the last meeting with Miami, coming away 38-6 winners last year in Charm City (Miami’s last win in the series came in 2015 in the Sunshine State by a final of 15-13.

They met in Charm City in week 13 and the Ravens got four TD passes from Flacco in the contest. Baltimore led 24-0 at the intermission and never looked back, holding the Dolphins to 62 yards on the ground, while they ran for 110. Flacco threw for 381 yards to go with the four TDs, while Ryan Tannehill threw for 226 yards and a TD but was sacked twice and threw three interceptions. While the Ravens were 5 of 11 on third down conversions at M&T Bank Stadium, they did find success on fourth down tries, going 2 of 2 and kept the ball for 29:14. Even though Miami lost, they did rule the clock, keeping the ball for 30:46, going 4 of 13 on third down in Charm City.

Baltimore easily covered the 3 1/2-point spread, winning by 28 points and both covered the 41 over/under, tallying 44 points. Baltimore’s favored by 3 and the over/under’s 37 1/2. Both numbers make a lot of sense. Both teams are trying to catch the leaders in their respective divisions (Baltimore chasing Pittsburgh in the AFC North, Miami chasing the New England Patriots in the AFC East). Miami pulls off the upset and take the win on the road in the week eight opener, covering the 3.
