The NFL has partnered with Electronic Arts to launch a new line of programming centered around the popular Madden NFL video game franchise, showcasing the incredible competitive spirit of its dedicated fan base.

Madden NFL America – a weekly series – streams every Friday at 9 p.m. Eastern on NFL.com and airs every Saturday at 8 a.m. Eastern on NFL Network, traveling across the country to discover and highlight the top Madden NFL gamers.

Throughout the season, Madden NFL America will follow the Madden NFL Championship Series tournaments, including four Majors featuring the best Madden NFL players competing for $1 million in prize money.

Also launching this season is the Madden 17 Club Series, which will feature live Madden NFL tournaments produced by participating NFL teams.

EA SPORTS Madden NFL America

EA SPORTS Madden NFL America streams on Friday at 9 p.m. Eastern on NFL.com and airs Saturdays at 8 a.m. Eastern on NFL Network and is sponsored by Under Armour. The 30-minute show, partnered with Defy Media, is hosted by Madden NFL superfan Dave Grunfeld who seeks to discover the most passionate Madden NFL players from across the country and explore the universe around this popular game through the eyes of top gamers while focusing on the four Madden NFL Championship Series tournaments.

Aside from its competitive elements, this series also provides an in-depth, often humorous, look at the personal lives of the country’s best Madden NFL players while also featuring current NFL players who are passionate about the Madden NFL game. This season features Jimmie Ward of the San Francisco 49ers and Damon “Snacks” Harrison of the New York Giants among other NFL players who are active in the world of Madden NFL, as well as Madden NFL players such as Problem, T-Fonk, Schemin, Litezout, TRaw and more.

Madden NFL Championship Series

The Madden NFL Championship Series is a series of competitions spanning from December 2016 to May 2017, with the first competition the Madden Classic taking place Thursday, December 1  on the Madden NFL 17 Website
(https://easports.com/madden-nfl/compete/live).

Competitors in the Madden NFL Championship Series are vying for a share of the $1 million prize pool while playing across a variety of modes, including Draft Champions, Online Head to Head and MUT Salary Cap Ranked.

There are four total Madden NFL Championship Series events, with the final Major – The Madden Championship – crowning the season champion:

Madden Classic – December 1-3 (Completed)
Madden Bowl – January 25-28 (Group Play) & February 2-4 (Single Elimination)
Madden Challenge – March 31-April 2

League Play – Week 2: April 27-30
League Play – Week 3: May 4-7
League Play – Week 4: May 11-14

Madden 17 Club Series

In the Madden 17 Club Series, participating NFL teams will conduct their own Madden competitions to crown the best Madden player among their fans. Following online qualifiers beginning January 9, 2017, finalists will take part in live competitions conducted by each participating NFL team that will be streamed on NFL team websites and apps and on the Madden NFL Twitch channel.
