Could Casey Anthony finally be telling her story?

According to TMZ, it looks that way. The news organization said that Anthony was in New York for a “big interview.”

TMZ reports that it has obtained video of a woman believed to be Casey Anthony arriving at a New York City airport last week to do what TMZ claims is a “big interview.”

The woman, who bears a striking resemblance to the Florida mother acquitted in the death of her 2-year-old child, told a reporter at the airport Thursday that she wasn’t Anthony.

Jose Baez, Anthony’s attorney during her criminal trial, refused to give HLN a comment and no network has admitted to striking any deal with Anthony for an interview.

The 29-year-old was found not guilty in 2011 of first-degree murder and other most serious charges against her in the 2008 death of her daughter Caylee. Back in May, Anthony was apparently spotted in her new hometown of West Palm Beach, Florida, according to Gossip Extra.

So the most-hated woman in America since Toyko Rose is finally breaking her silence? While there are some that don’t care one way or the other, there are others that wouldn’t spit on her if she were on fire. Maybe it is finally time to break the ice. Casey does deserve to tell her side, after all. She was tried and accquitted of all the charges, with only that perjury issue hanging over her head (she had lied to the cops about Caylee being missing).

Assuming that she was there to give an interview and assuming that it was her, hopefully she was truthful and forth-coming, leaving no detail unturned. After all, she is a free woman and can profit from this (which would not be the case if she were found guilty). She can also learn from this as well.

Like her or not, Casey Anthony is free to go where she wants and when she wants and if she wants to write and talk about her experience, that’s fine too. After all, it’s her right.

She’s been called cold. Callous. Aloof. Some would even go so far as to use the word bitch when her name is uttered. She does have the chance to tell her story. She’s not perfect. She’s no saint, she’s surely not a Mother Teresa by any stretch of the imagination but given what she went through in Orlando in 2011, she’s been through hell and had to live through a trial where both parents all but threw her under the bus while it was still moving.

Casey needs to tell her story. It’s as simple as that. Granted, this isn’t going to bring Caylee back and as for the relationship with her parents, one can imagine that relationship is shot to hell and the only thing she has left is the relationship with her brother Lee.

A trial in Florida in May 2011 that was the biggest thing to hit a courthouse since OJ has come and gone. Casey Anthony cannot be re-tried for the crime, no matter how much we scream, holler and whine like children. The justice sytem doesn’t work that way (or to paraphrase a TV show, “Lady Justice don’t play that.”).

In May of 2011, Casey Anthony WAS the story.

Now it’s time for her to tell HER story.
